Job Purpose and Summary
Canon Ireland is seeking a skilled IP Semiconductor Service Engineer to provide on-site support for new equipment installations and maintenance in the Leixlip area. This role involves repairing, servicing, and optimizing Canon’s semiconductor machines at customer sites. The engineer will work with various types of Canon semiconductor equipment and collaborate with customers to ensure maximum uptime of busy production equipment. A positive outlook and flexible approach to customer interactions are essential. The remuneration for this role is highly competitive, offering the successful applicant a rewarding career path. This is a site-based position.

What we ask
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site servicing of customer equipment in a busy cleanroom environment.
- Install various types of new semiconductor manufacturing machines.
- Tackle challenging and cutting-edge technology that requires skill and experience.
- Collaborate with customers to maintain and optimize machine productivity in a high-demand production setting.
- Stay updated on service information.
- Write comprehensive service reports for both customers and internal use.
Essential Skills:
- Minimum HNC in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
- High standard of written and spoken English, along with strong numeracy skills.
- At least 3 years of experience in an electrical or electronic background.
- Mechanical skills are advantageous.
- Proficiency in standard software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a flexible approach.
- Proven employment track record.
Desirable Skills:
- Clean driving licence.
- Previous experience with stepper equipment would be beneficial.
