We are currently looking for an experienced Land Surveyor to join our friendly team. Please note this role can be based anywhere across the South East or South West region.

Here at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds, therefore prior technical experience isn’t always necessary for success.

In the role of Land Surveyor you will be responsible for providing a professional Land Survey service to the Materials BU and the wider business, producing accurate and reliable information on which business decisions can be made.

You will also be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Delivering accurate and professional topographic surveys using the approved surveying hardware and software
  • Performing all surveying tasks in accordance with all H&S Policies and the Land Survey HIRA document

The ideal candidate for the role of Land Surveyor will have experience of:

  • A degree or diploma in a Land Survey related subject (desirable)

  • Holding or working towards a recognised relevant Land Surveying qualification

3 years practical experience of:

  • Conducting topographic surveys, preferably within Quarry environment
  • H&S Standards relating to safe working
  • Undertaking and reporting stock measurements
  • LSS Software
  • The use of the latest total station, GPS and UAV equipment

The role will require someone who is able to work autonomously and take responsibility for producing land surveys in a challenging working environment.
